Rebuilding Together Oakland County
Our Community Programs

RTOC offers year-round community service programs...all focusing on providing housing repair to low-income homeowners in Oakland County. With all of our home rehab efforts, we focus on providing energy assistance to our homeowners, such as green housing solutions & home energy efficiency to help the homeowners save money on future energy bills.

  • Our Annual Rebuild Day

    IMG 0052

Every year on the last Saturday of April, RTOC provides free home repairs to low-income homeowners who are elderly, disabled, military veterans, and families with children who are unable to repair and revitalize their homes themselves. Thousands of community volunteers nationwide fix-up the homes and yards of those in need so that they can live in a safer, more comfortable and pleasant environment. Locally we have around 1400 community volunteers who form community development teams to help around 50 homeowners. These community service projects primarily address smaller repairs aimed at making the home safe, warmer, and healthier for the homeowner. However RTOC does have resources such as the Oakland/Livingston Human Services Agency and volunteer contractors who may be able to address larger home rehab issues.
